Reminiscing Rockcliffe - A Lovely Afternoon

Of course after 2 days of sunshine the heavens opened on Saturday and it poured! We feared this would put people off coming to our drop in event and they would stay at home with a cuppa and a piece of cake.

 Can you remember paddling in the pool on the Lower Prom?   Did you swim in the pool on table rocks? Can you remember the mansion house between Gordon Square and Collingwood Terrace?

Reminiscing Rockcliffe - New Funding Age UK

We are delighted to announce we have been succesful in securing funding from Age UK. We would like to hold a local event to share memories of our beautiful Rockcliffe area. We would love you to come and share your stories.

North Tyneside Council begin work.

If you were wondering why bags of building materials had been delivered to our park, you'll be pleased to know that the new swings and a basket swing are to be installed. How exciting!

Bulb planting, chilly but fun!

Members and volunteers joined us in Rockcliffe Park on Wednesday 20th February to help plant daffodil, bluebell and snowdrop bulbs on the raised grass area nearest the seafront.  Although it was bitterly cold, we worked really hard to plant every bulb which had been kindly donated by Azure Garden

AGE UK Health & Happiness Fund - New Grant

We are delighted to announce AGE UK has kindly donated £500 towards the cost of plants and bulbs for a planting day at Rockcliffe Park. We will be arranging a day at Easter to continue the good work of the spring bulb planting day!

Spring Planting Day 20th Feb 2013

When the Rockcliffe Community Association first started last year we talked about how lovely it would be to improve the look and feel of our park for all to enjoy. So you can imagine how excited we were when we received a donation of spring bulbs.

5th December Update from the Chair

HI all,

The update meeeting last week, although not attended by so many as the initial meeting in May, was still very positive and the residents who attended are grateful that we are doing what we are doing and we've had other offers for help, and suggestions for ways to move forward.
